Bronx Artists Guild collection, 1922-1969.

The collection includes minutes for 1922-1945, correspondence on exhibitions and membership from 1922-1969 (which includes letters from sculptor Elie Nadelman and Mayor Fiorello La Guardia), the organisation's constitutions of 1924-1956 and bylaws of 1937, attendance records for Guild functions for 1924-1929; a scrapbook of clippings about the Guild from 1922-1933, exhibition catalogs for 1925-1932 and The Bronx Banner for 1968-1969; the Banner was published serially by the Bronx Council on the Arts. There are also various brochures, circulars, flyers, tickets to exhibitions and a 1967 issue of the Congressional Record that contains a speech by Theodore Kupferman on amending the National Foundation on the Arts and Humanities Act of 1965.
